By filling the nooks and crannies in your suitcase with supplies to donate, you can change the lives of local children and their families. Our staff will gladly deliver your generous donations to the school on your behalf.
Supporting Education
Founded in September 2006, Holy Cross Anglican Primary School educates 440 students from preschool to Standard 6 (8th grade). Holy Cross was founded by Francis and Vernon Wilson from Virginia, USA, who were working in Belize City. They saw the incredible need for a new school in San Pedro where the existing schools were full and overcrowded and took action. In just five years they took a muddy lagoon and turned it into the school building that is there today.
Holy Cross School is located in a neighborhood whose residences face incredible need and, though hard working, often struggle to provide the necessities for their children. Holy Cross School does not just provide an education, the school seeks to provide an excellent education that meets the needs of the modern world. The school has a computer lab, a well-stocked library, and strives to provide excellent resources for the teachers. The school also provides for the health of the students by providing a nutritious lunch, dental care, and volunteer doctors. Finally, for those who cannot afford their own, the school provides pencils, paper, shoes and more so they can attend school.
Holy Cross School relies heavily on donations. The school was built and is maintained by volunteers, and many of the school supplies that they provide to their students were donated by visiting families and individuals.
